DIOCESAN MUSIC DAY – Saturday 11 March 2017.

The re-scheduled Diocesan Music Day for choirs, musicians and all those who participate in the liturgy through the ministry of music, will take place in St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre, Broad Road, Monaghan, on Saturday 11 March 2017 from 10am until 4.30pm.

This day will enable the ongoing development of church music across the Diocese of Clogher. It will be an opportunity for choirs to acquire new music material through shared learning, networking and the exchange of information and experiences. Among the topics to be covered will be the singing of Responsorial Psalms, as well as music for the celebration of the sacraments and various liturgies. The range of music will cater for choirs of all types, from folk choirs to four-part choirs. It will also cater for those who don’t read music.

Please make sure to register early – by contacting Deirdre Macklin at deirdremacklin@gmail.com or +353 47 89981.

This event is being held under the auspices of the Diocese of Clogher Liturgy Commission.
