“Meetings Matter” evolved from an MA module directed by the authors for the past eight years in the Milltown Institute. This book can be used to help promote and support a group environment of respect, listening and inner freedom. It offers practical advice on how to deal with conflict, different personality types and various problems that may arise within a group dynamic – all in an easy to read, user-friendly format. This book is a must-have for anyone involved in meetings, small or large, parochial or corporate.

This book is a guide to what happens at Mass and why.

This book is divided neatly into six chapters focussing on:
• the significance of the Last Supper and the origins of the Eucharist
• the four separate parts of the Mass and the role and function of each
• the different roles of both clergy and lay people when the Eucharist is celebrated
• the physical arrangement of the church where Mass is celebrated
• the technical terms used in relation to the Mass and the significance of these terms in the light of Catholic doctrine concerning the Eucharist;
• how the Mass changes us and enriches our lives.

Each chapter provides a selection of resources for further reading.

·         Journeying Through the Year of Luke: Reflections on the Gospels

The purpose of this book is to provide readers with an overview of the Gospel (the Good News) of Luke, which is proclaimed during Year C of the liturgical cycle. After introducing Luke’s main themes, a series of insightful reflections on the gospel readings is presented for each Sunday and major feast during the year. The reflections focus on the relevance of Luke’s Gospel for everyday life, and will be helpful to priests and laity wishing to engage more fully with the Word of God.

We have received a letter from the Road Safety Authority requesting our support.

A new Road Traffic Bill will propose a reduction in the blood alcohol concentration

(BAC) limit for drivers. The RSA asserts this reduction will reduce the risk of

collisions, save lives and prevent injuries. They have set up a dedicated web site at

www.drinkdriving.ie. to provide everyone who is interested with truthful and factual

information on this important issue. The RSA would like us to be informed about this

issue and to consider the effect this will have on us, as road users and as members of

our Parishes.

We urge parishioners to get informed and become involved in this important debate
